Recipe: Blackened Mako Steak


Mako Steak 8oz
Dry Ingredients: Paprika, Cayenne, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Cumin, White Pepper, And Salt. (1tspn Each) Combine In Bowl
Wet Ingredients: ¼ Cup Vegetable Oil, 1 Tblspn Soy Sauce, 1 Tblspn Teriyaki Sauce. 1 Tspn Chopped Cilantro, 1 Tspn Chopped Basil. Combine In Bowl And Add Dry Ingredients. Mix Well. Marinate Mako In Mixture For 1 Hour.

Super Heat A Cast Iron Skillet Or Heavy Saute Pan. Carefully Place The Mako Into Pan. This Will Generate Smoke. Blacken For 1 Minute And Remove. Let Pan Reheat And Blacken The Other Side. Serve Immediately. (Optional) Top With A Mixture Of Diced Red Onion, Chopped Black Olives, Diced Tomato, Minced Garlic And Chopped Scallions.

***It Is Recommended That You Use A Well Ventilated Area When Blackening. An Outdoor Grill Works Fine. Place The Cast Iron Skillet On The Grill And Close The Cover. Keep Cover Oven Once The Steak Is Placed In The Pan***
